Rita Dias is a PhD student of the Environment and Sustainability Doctoral Program and is a member of CENSE, FCT-NOVA University of Lisbon since December 2019. She has an Integrated Master in Environmental Engineering, Sanitary Engineering Profile at FCT-NOVA University of Lisbon. During her master thesis, she worked with Rotating Biological Contactor’s (RBC’s) to assess the biological removal efficiency of two hormones,17α-Ethinylestradiol and 17β-estradiol. Her research work focuses on the removal of emergent compounds from treated wastewater for different uses and the risk analysis of this process.Rita Dias has worked as a Project Engineer in a Portuguese engineering consulting company where has collaborated in projects on wastewater drainage infrastructures and wastewater treatment plants.
